This is a great little spot in Downtown Sacramento! While working in the area, I visited Fox & Goose twice for lunch during the week. The interior is nice, bright with high ceilings. It has a cozy pub feel with the wood while still also feeling modern. They had a great tap list and good looking specialty drinks if you're looking for a drink. The menu keeps the pub inspired drink, with classic British dishes and more. I really enjoyed the tikka masala that I ordered on my first visit. The second day, I ordered the peach salad special and added chicken. The salad was delicious and very fresh. The service was great and we received our food quickly, perfect for a quick sit-down lunch (if you have about 45 minutes to an hour). Since we were in a rush for lunch, the server was great for bringing our check quickly after getting our food when we asked. The servers were both super attentive. If working in the area again, I would definitely return for lunch, or for dinner to try some of their tap list!

When I am in Sacramento for business or to visit my amazing family, my first stop is Fox and goose whether that be for breakfast lunch or dinner. You've got to check it out if you're in town. The mimosas are amazing as well as the bloody Mary's. Breakfast is my favorite corn beef hash is well known and they make it there, I can't have a breakfast there without the crumpets. Never disappoints!!! The place is always packed does not take reservations, but they do wonders to get you in very quickly. They have indoor outdoor dining and they are dog friendly.

We ended up at The Fox and Goose Pub on our way to Tahoe. The food was good. We loved the beer flight. The service was quick and very friendly... and they have free public parking right across from 8AM- 8PM. And, I love that they are inclusive and support Pride.

A colleague and I were in town to attend the WACAC conference at the convention center by the state capitol. We were in search of a good place to eat dinner and this restaurant has good ratings on Yelp. I ordered the fish and chips; my colleague ordered the grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side. We both enjoyed our entrees. I want to add this was the best fish and chips I've had-and believe me, I've ate fish and chips in many restaurants throughout the years. This outshines restaurants in Las Vegas-Henderson where I live. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Service was excellent, food was great.

Great service. Loved my smoked salmon plate. Super fresh and delish. Hubby had eggs Benedict, that was a little weird. Instead of hollandaise it was a roux like mustard gravy. Had coffee and a mimosa. Vibes are cool like a pub lots of wood and old Guinness signs. Would go back again and try other things.

Came in again on Friday night 4/26, party of 2. Since this was G's first time in, we both went with British Standards and typical pub fare. I've been before for weekend breakfast/brunch, Pub Quiz night, and dinner. Started with the Banger Rolls to share which came with HP sauce (tomato+tamarind?!) and Colman's mustard. The sausage was dense and puff pastry nice! She got the Fish & Chips (ale-battered cod, Kennebec chips, tartar sauce, lemon, malt vinegar provided at the table on the side). I repeated my fave, the Cornish Pasty (beef, pork, turnip, potato, carrot, onion, herbs, gravy and field greens). The vegetarian version has sweet potato, turnip, potato, onion, peas, herbs, and Welse rarebit cheese sauce and is also a solid option! Next time I might try the Shepherd's Pie. They do have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items available if that's what you're looking for. Can't remember the name exactly of the signature cocktail that the Birthday Girl ordered, but I personally was eyeing either a Bellini or a Mocktail. Non-alcoholic beverages menu included the Isle of White (lemonade, rhubarb bitters), Cucumber Cooler (cucumber juice, lime juice, soda water), and the Peachy Day (peach puree, lemon juice, rhubarb bitters, soda water). I got the Peachy Day, which came in a mason jar and was tasty and refreshing! I also asked if we could do ollalieberry scones even though it was dinner service -- yes! They even asked if we wanted them to come out all at once or as dessert. We chose dessert and they even came out warmed with Devonshire cream on the side! There was live music which was a little loud but still fun tunes like Black Magic Woman and Brown-Eyed Girl. With a shift change, our main server did switch between the main courses and dessert scones. When the bill came out, we asked to split it half and half, but there was a mistake (undercharged) and she had to get the manager to correct the charge amounts. This caused a little delay and we were a bit late to our event.

I used to work downtown and passed Fox & Goose all the time, but we ended up getting into the area too early for another dinner reservation and headed to the Fox & Goose FINALLY for some drinks and a snack. I was so pleasantly surprised at the interior of this place that I wished we went here for dinner instead! We got drinks: a burgundy fox (so good), a smoked clover (husband verified very good as well), and a Cornish pasty (omg yes). Food and drinks came out really fast within 10-15 mins even though they were super busy that night! The decor is awesome, really detailed stuff on the walls and the bathroom is one of the coolest things because the hallway to the bathroom is modeled after the London Underground, it's so cute! The place was really clean for it being so busy. The scene was really cool too - even though we were in the bar area we could kinda hear the live music in the other parts of the pub, so next time we're just planning to come here!

Came in at 7:30 on a Sunday morning as we had an early 9:30 Yelp event at the nearby WAL Public Market. Parking wasn't a problem at the R District that morning. The restaurant had one table sat hidden by the corner and we were seated away from the bar & TV by the kitchen. Though we couldn't see them, we heard the buzz and sounds of breakfast being prepared. Diners trickled in and the pub was to capacity when we got out with people waiting for tables. It was our first time here for a public house that was established in 1975. The restaurant was decked with everything England. They even have the Underground map posted by the restrooms. Our server was nice and prompt. Our waters and coffees were refilled throughout our meal. She suggested to get Olallieberry Scones as complimentary sides with our plates and order Devonshire Cream ($2) to pair with Fox & Goose's famous pastry. I ordered the Full English Breakfast and my wife had the Corned Beef Hash. The grilled banger, tomato & mushrooms with the baked beans reminded me of breakfast in London and the Harry Potter restaurants at Universal Studios. The servings were generous but I finished mine while we had to pack the hash to-go. This visit was worth it. Fox & Goose wasn't our first choice for breakfast in the area, but we're glad we did.
